Collection of soviet books for children 1920-1935.

A collection of almost 400 booklets. The subjects ranges from friendly animal stories and everyday things in the life of a child to pedagogical texts and political subjects as Lenin, the Soviets and 1st-of-May celebrations. Many well known artists played an important role in the development of the children's book. In this collection you can find for instance Vladimir Majakovskij, Kornej Chukovskij, Samuil Marshak and Daniil Charms. We also mention a few illustrators : Vladimir Lebedev, Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Dejneka and Vera Ermolaeva.
